Use a strengthened mindset to consistently execute with confidence and achieve peak performance.
Mental performance consulting helps athletes to develop the mental skills necessary to optimize their mindset, increase focus, and build resilience to achieve performance excellence. Just as physical training strengthens the body, mental training strengthens the mind, allowing athletes to perform at their best when it matters most.
Through mental performance consulting, athletes learn techniques to improve focus, boost confidence, manage stress and anxiety, cope with pressure, strengthen motivation, set effective goals, and sharpen their competitive edge. Through the mind-body connection, these skills not only enhance athletic performance but also contribute to overall personal growth, ensuring a strong and balanced mindset both in and out of competition.
Every athlete is unique, and at Stone Peak Performance, our approach is fully individualized and personalized. Through a holistic approach, we take the time to understand the whole athlete, including their identity, experiences, and challenges, to best address their specific needs.
Just like physical training, developing mental skills is a process. It requires commitment, repetition, and practice to build the foundation of routines and habits necessary for peak performance. Some athletes may notice shifts early on, while others see more significant progress over time. The key is consistency. Strengthening the mind-body connection for performance excellence takes patience, but with dedication, results will come.
At Stone Peak Performance, we use a variety of techniques to strengthen the mental game, including but not limited to thought reframing, routines, goal setting, mindfulness, emotional regulation, self-care, and visualization. Each athlete is different which is why our strategies are individualized and personalized to address specific concerns and goals. Whether it is building confidence, improving focus, managing pressure, or enhancing consistency, we design a plan that works best for you and your performance needs.
Yes. Injuries can take a significant toll on an athlete’s confidence and mindset. Mental performance consulting plays a crucial role in the recovery process by helping athletes to remain motivated and mentally strong as they navigate the challenges of injury. Through mental skills training, athletes learn techniques to manage frustration, maintain focus, and face adversity with resilience, ultimately optimizing their recovery time.
In addition to supporting the mental side of recovery, athletes can also work on performance-related mental skills during their time away from competition. This ensures that when they return, they are not only physically ready, but mentally prepared as well. A strong mental approach contributes to a more positive and confident comeback, setting the stage for performance excellence.
Absolutely. The techniques learned through mental performance consulting are ultimately life skills that extend far beyond sports. While they are designed to enhance athletic performance, these skills also apply to academics, business, leadership, and everyday challenges. Mental skills, such as focus, resilience, confidence, emotional regulation, and goal setting are valuable tools in any high-performance environment and contribute to excellence not just in competition, but in all aspects of life.
Sessions are 60 minutes.
Pricing varies based on the needs of each individual or group and will be discussed at the start to find the best fit. Yes, we do offer packages, as results come with commitment and consistency. Athletes need multiple sessions to develop the routines and habits necessary for optimal performance. Often, more sessions are needed initially with a shift to maintenance as skills are learned.
At Stone Peak Performance, every plan is individualized and personalized – what works for one athlete may not work for another. However, athletes should expect to commit to at least one session per week for 10 sessions to see results followed by a reassessment to determine the best path forward. Since sports are fluid and the mental game is just as critical as the physical, ongoing support ensures continued growth and peak performance.
At Stone Peak Performance, we understand that an athlete’s training and competition schedule is not always predictable, and challenges can arise outside of scheduled sessions. Support between sessions is a key part of the process, especially around competitions when mental performance strategies are most crucial. We are available to provide guidance as needed, and the specifics of availability can be discussed to make sure that you get the support that works best for you.
